Polaroid enters the market of 3D printers with Modelsmart 250S

Polaroid was the edition 2016 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas to officially introduce its first 3D printer. This is the new Polaroid ModelSmart 250S has been developed in collaboration with British company Environmental Business Products (EBP).

The classic is fashionable, if yesterday we told as Kodak brought back the Super 8 we are again with a company that was a benchmark in the 80s and 90s back Polaroid itself (although some might say rightly they never really left at all) ... but it does on the market for 3D printers.

Features of the new 3D printer Polaroid ModelSmart 250S

The design of the Polaroid printers ModelSmart 250S is full of winks to nostalgic for the past decade and now we will see the typical lines plying the Polaroid cameras that were a landmark in the life of many of us.

But let us put aside the nostalgic eighties and comment the characteristics of it. This 3D printer that uses filaments and software solution developed by both companies, is capable of printing objects with dimensions up to 250x150x150 mm, it has an extruder of 0.4 mm and offers a printing speed of 20-100 mm / s .

Polaroid ModelSmart 250S 3D printers include an LCD touch screen, along with Wi-Fi connectivity, a USB port and a camera with a resolution of 640x480px which can be used in conjunction with a smartphone app or with a browser.

At the moment the prices at which they will launch new Polaroid ModelSmart 250S are not known. What if the company Polaroid revealed is that ModelSmart 250S printer will be available in Europe soon ... .Estaremos vigilant if we know more about it.
