Some time ago appeared a report suggesting that Apple could reuse a glass case in the next iPhone, after a succession of models with metal body. Different people have different aesthetic preferences.
The inclusion of rear glass panels allow a clean design, but are vulnerable to break if they fall. It is obvious that the metal is more robust, but requires a special job for accommodating antenna bands are not for the aesthetic tastes of all.
However, a new technology can overcome both problems, so it is interesting to think which way to take technology company based in Cupertino to go applying these new features in future iPhone models.
The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe (below) shows how an all-metal design could work without bands visible antenna. Apparently, a small cut on the chamfered edge is enough to do the job.
If you come to realize the crystal case, Apple would work with a number of new materials such as flexible glass that would allow the company to offer a design that looks like glass but with the quality of flexibility, which would make the material is not break easily.
Everything seems to mark that the iPhone 7 does not include a chassis of glass, making it possible aesthetic change is made only in the "iPhone 8" next 2017.
Looking ahead 2017 smartphone, we have two possibilities, a mobile with a housing flexible glass that is not easily broken and / or a smartphone with a chassis made entirely of metal.
What will be Apple's choice and yours ?. All we have to say is that we have to wait until 2017 to see if these rumors materialize. On the other hand the arrival of the iPhone 7 in September this year is expected.
