iOS 10 Top 10 New Features

Even though it’s too early to jump into any conclusion, I’m happy with the all new features and improvements that have arrived with iOS 10. From Apple Music, Messages, Photos or Maps, the tech giant has made sure all the areas have been smartly covered.

Look forward to finding out some of the most interesting iOS 10 features? You’d love to check them out as they are out-of-the-box. Really. Let’s dive ahead to have a quick look!

#1. Smart Music Storage Optimization
If you are concerned about the storage on your iPhone, you can now automatically get rid of the music which you haven’t played for a while.
#2. Individual Read Receipt
Personally, I had been waiting for this feature for a long time. Luckily, it has arrived now. You can individually turn on/off read receipt on a per-person or per-conversation basis.
#3. Remove Stock Apps
iOS 10 allows you to remove a number of built-in apps from the Home screen on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Below are the stock apps which you can delete in iOS 10:
  • Calendar
  • Compass
  • Contacts
  • FaceTime
  • Find My Friends
  • Home
  • iBooks
  • iCloudDrive
  • iTunes Store
  • Mail
  • Maps
  • Music
  • News
  • Notes
  • Podcasts
  • Reminders
  • Stocks
  • Tips
  • Videos
  • Voice Memos
  • Watch app
  • Weather
#4. Wake Alarm
The Clock app has got a new Bedtime tab with the Wake Alarm functionality. It can help you go to bed and wake up at the same time daily.
Moreover, it also lets you track how many hours you slept, offers detailed sleep analysis and even remind you when it’s time to sleep.
#5. Back to Icon Tweaked
“Back to” icon in Status Bar has been slightly tweaked.
#6. New Wallpaper
There are new wallpapers to let you spice up the look of your iOS device.
#7. Game Center has been eliminated
So sad to find out that the Game Center has been removed.
#8. “Avoid Tolls” Toggle in Apple Maps
There is an option to “Avoid Tolls” in Apple Maps. It’s handy. Now, the Maps app will let you avoid toll roads just like Google Maps.
#9. 3D Touch in Control Center
Vow! Control Center now supports the 3D Touch technology.
#10. 3D Touch Shortcut for Cellular Data
Settings have added a new 3D Touch shortcut for Cellular Data.
New Keyboard Sound: Is new keyboard sound important? I don’t think it’s so cool.
