Recently we are seeing new interesting Apple patents. A few days ago we saw two of them related to augmented reality and one with a wraparound screen for the iPhone , and now we must add new ones on the Apple Watch.
These two new patents refer to a built - in Apple Watch and the possibility of adding two new buttons camera. As you can see, there are two possible new features that could reach future generations of Apple Watch, but for the moment there is nothing confirmed.
Here we have more details on these two new patents related to Apple Watch and what could be expected from these new features. Let's go there!
A camera on the Apple Watch?
The first patent speaks of an integrated camera that would be focused mainly on the interaction between the smartphone and smartwatch. Specifically it would focus on the sharing and use of location data.
I must say that the information provided in the patent Apple has not included any illustration of how the camera would Apple Watch, but you can see a sketch in one of the images that the clock itself would have this component.
In the description Apple says that the camera would be "oriented to allow a user to capture images of nearby objects in the environment, such as a barcode or a QR code." They add that the camera could be on the front surface of the Apple Watch to capture images of the user, and apparently could also record video.
Future generations of Apple Watch could have more buttons
The second patent shows two mysterious new buttons for the Apple Watch. In the illustration of the patent you can watch digital crown and the power button on the side of the clock, and just across two new buttons on the left side.
Apple does not disclose any specific function for these buttons, but if the two patents can bind think that any of them would be specific for the camera. Of course, as they say in Mashable , it does not seem that Apple will use these two patents for the next generation of Apple Watch.
