Twitter for iOS extends the length of videos to 140 Seconds

The Twitter app for iOS today received an interesting update that allows users to upload and share videos of a lot more time on iPhone and iPad.

The social network of sympathetic little bird has announced that the video length has been extended from 30 seconds to 140 seconds (2 minutes and 20 seconds).

Regulars Twitter users will instantly recognize the number "140" as the character limit assigned to the tweets, which incidentally, is based on the limit of 160 characters of SMS.

Instagram also increased the duration of your videos

Instagram shared, today also, the arrival 500 million active users monthly (60% active daily users) plus some other interesting statistics about the social network of photos and videos.

In addition to the 500 million users, Instagram has over 300 million active users in its application with more than 80% audience outside the United States.

On the other hand, Instagram provides an average of 4.200 million likes on photos and videos a day and more than 95 million photographs and videos published daily. Some numbers Awesome!

Updating Twitter is not accidental, and that a month ago Instagram renewed its user interface , with a controversial new minimalist icon for your app, and also extended the limit of seconds in the duration of your videos, from 6 seconds to 60 seconds.

The logic is that the Twitter update arrives today for all iPhone and iPad internationally.
