Adding a sound start to Mac OS X

You like to personalize your Mac, such as adding a sound when you start your computer. For in this brief tutorial, we'll show you how to add a sound start in Mac OS X in a series of simple steps. Feel like ?, Then get down to work.

Adding a sound start in Mac OS X:

First start Automator located in the Applications folder.

Then click on the "New Document" button.

Once done, select "Application" from the list of document types and click the select button.

Step followed, drag the action "Run Shell Script" (Run Shell Script) from the list of actions to the workflow pane on the right side of the window.

In the text area, Afplay followed by the full path to the sound file you want to use as the startup sound writes. You can also write Afplay and then drag and drop the sound file in the text area.

To make sure your sound file plays correctly, click the run button:

located on the top right of the screen. If you receive a warning that the application will not receive the input when run within Automator, simply click "OK".

Once you have confirmed the sound is played properly, choose Save from the File menu.

Enter a name for the application that is easy to remember, select the Applications folder from the drop-down menu and click save.
