Recently, Apple renewed its subscription policy for iOS developers, offering a rebate of a division of 85/15 if developers keep their customers for more than a year, but Spotify does not agree with the procedures.
In a letter sent to Washington by Spotify, they mention that Apple is being anti-competitive by rejecting the latest version of Spotify Music to boost sales of Apple Music subscriptions.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren is positioned for Spotify
The letter gives way to the comments of Senator Elizabeth Warren, who attacked Apple for "acting inappropriately" in the music market, "pushing" to other participants as Spotify.
So it seems, Spotify wants to sell Apple allows in-app purchases out of your system, where the company usually make a profit of 30%.
"APPLE DECREASES AND EXCLUDES THE COMPETITIVENESS OF SPOTIFY ON IOS AS A DIRECT RIVAL TO APPLE MUSIC."
Although Apple will lose 15% of their profits through subscriptions over a year in Apple Music, Spotify still think being anti-competitive.
Apple allows services like Spotify use your own subscription system, but does not allow other companies to promote sales other options in the app.
Apple Music is becoming a major headache for Spotify, the music service streaming company apple bite already has more than 15 million paying subscribers, while Spotify has 30 million paying subscribers, and that they enjoyed a few years ahead.
What do you think about this news? Do you think Apple is being anti-competitive? Does Spotify reason?
