I 'm not lying when I say that 2016 was the year of reality, a technology that is here to stay and I personally think it will change our understanding of the technology.
Companies like Oculus, a pioneer in the world of virtual reality or HTC have launched their respective products, which need a computer with a specific hardware to function.
On the other hand, in a few months it will be released Playstation VR, the first headset virtual reality game consoles (Playstation 4), while several rumors claim that this technology will also be on Nintendo NX, the new console from Nintendo It will be released in March 2017.
In addition, there are also several glasses of virtual reality in which we can introduce our mobile phone, although it is true that these little resemble what a product offers the likes of HTC Vive.
For all these reasons I think that 2017 should be the year of virtual reality for Apple, because I think a company like Apple can not lag behind in this area, especially when there is such strong rivals like HTC Vive.
Now, how come Apple in virtual reality? The hypothetical 'Apple VR' could be similar to HTC Vive product, ie, need a computer with a powerful graphics card to work, or, on the other hand, could be a fixture in which to introduce our iPhone.
If the first case, Apple should launch a new model of Mac with a graphics card much higher that we can find on their computers, or on the contrary, develop the hardware and allow it to be used on any computer with Windows that meets the requirements, a move that not just convinced me.
On the other hand, if the Cupertino company opts to create an accessory for the iPhone, this would dictate much of what is the true virtual reality, so personally I do not see Apple developing a product that we all know from principle which is much lower than that offered by other companies.
In short, how holder of a unit of HTC Vive, for me most comprehensive and innovative option that we can find in the market, I'm hoping that Apple take the step and enter fully into this world, or at least, you decide to create some other software.
