eBay includes support for Touch ID in iOS

After releasing complete updates on their applications for Android and iOS in May this year, eBay returns to the fray with a new update on the App Store.

The latest update of eBay for iOS introduces new features and compatibility with the Apple Touch ID technology.

Additionally, eBay now has the new method login "One Time Password".

You want to find out how these two new features of eBay work? Keep reading! 😉

One Time Password

First let's talk a little about the "One Time Password" feature eBay. This new method optional login eliminates the need to enter login information in the application.

To confirm your identity, eBay will send a text message with a confirmation code to the user 's smartphone. Once the code has been entered, the device does not require a password to log into the app.

This feature is available on iOS, Android and the web.

Touch ID

In addition to the login "One Time Password" as well tell us from the blog 9to5Mac , eBay has also added compatibility with iOS Touch ID technology. This functionality allows users to use the Home button to add additional security to the app through their fingerprints.

So Dave spoke Eating, Senior Director and Communications Manager eBay, on the update:

"ONE TIME PASSWORD AUTHENTICATION AND TOUCH ID ELIMINATES THE NEED TO REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD WHEN YOU WANT TO ACCESS EBAY. WE USE TOO MANY APPS THAT REQUIRE PASSWORDS AND IMPOSSIBLE TO REMEMBER THEM ALL. "
