Facebook began testing their secret talks since July 2016 , and the update has finally come to the App Store iOS three months later.

"THE COMPANY'S POPULAR SOCIAL NETWORK HAS LAUNCHED SECRET TALKS TO THE 900 MILLION USERS OF FACEBOOK MESSENGER FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS. THE FUNCTIONALITY ALLOWS USERS TO OPTIONALLY ENCRYPT THEIR MESSAGES SO THAT NO ONE CAN READ EXCEPT THE TWO PEOPLE IN THE CONVERSATION, OR FACEBOOK OR OTHER AGENCIES CAN ACCESS THAT CONTENT. "

As we advanced, unlike FaceTime or iMessage, you must manually activate the option in Facebook Messenger. When you press on the icon for a new chat, you'll see the "Secret" button in the upper right corner.

  1. When it comes to security I use vpn service.VPN service protects your privacy by masking your IP address and encrypting your internet traffic. When you connect to a VPN server, that VPN server will act as a proxy to connect to your desired website on your behalf. I use Betternet 'cause it's free. I read on https://myipservices.com/ that VPN is the best service to preserve your privacy online.
