Google updates its map application, taking advantage of the features of IOS 10

Google has updated the iOS version of its mapping application with some major improvements, including widgets redesigned for iOS 10 and has added more details about the sites users visit.

New widgets traffic and travel times are functionally similar to its predecessors, but have been updated to fit the new look and layout for widgets in iOS 10. The first identifies options nearby public transportation and estimated time arriving, while the widget display travel times estimated time to reach a destination, either by car or on foot.

Some descriptions of location in the application now include their characteristics, atmosphere and services, giving users a better idea before visiting the site or not.

In the same vein, people who write reviews of places, can now upload their own photos at once. This will be very beneficial when it comes to research a place before visiting, as it now should see the images associated with places in Google Maps application more frequently.
