If you want to hide the playback controls when you watch a video, you should try a new free jailbreak tweak called PlayDismiss. The tweak aims to enhance the playback experience, hiding the controls when playing a video.
As mentioned earlier, the tweak hides all playback controls at the time you press the "play" button every time you use the Apple Video Player. In doing so, the tweak removes the blurred interface that appears at the top and bottom of the screen, with their respective controls, using better the screen to display the video.
Before installing PlayDismiss, you'll see the video controls remain on the screen for several seconds after you tap lightly on the play button:
For many, this is really annoying because the controls end up cutting the display area, making it impossible to see the top and bottom edge of the video, until the interface automatically hide. You could touch the full screen button, but this is something that should really be automatic.
After installing PlayDismiss, video controls are hidden immediately after touching the "pay" button, which instantly provides a view to full screen video:
It is a change that favors the viewing experience very remarkable way, and if you like, you should give it a try this tweak.
It should be noted that the tweak does not work on videos that do not use the default video player from Apple, so it is likely that some applications are not compatible, so this is something you should consider.
PlayDimiss can be downloaded for free from the BigBoss Cydia repository at any jailbroken iOS device 9. The tweak does not have configuration options.
