IPhone 7 and 7 Plus and apparently accounted for 43 percent of sales only in the United States in the third quarter, although they were only available for the last two weeks of the season sales.
The huge proportion of sales in a short period of time, in large part due to the "positive response" that had the iPhone 7. Given the same period with respect to the sale of the old models, the numbers of Apple are positive. IPhone 7 standard represents 31 percent of sales, while the Plus model is represented by only 7 and 12 percent.
The next most popular device in iPhone sales was the SE, with 9 percent. Moreover, it should be emphasized that sales of iPhones older models tend to fall sharply in the weeks before the launch of new models of smartphones Apple weeks.
This is not all, since among buyers iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus buyers, 17 percent made the update from a model 6s, while 36 percent were making the jump from an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. Only 9 percent was changed from Android to iOS, much lower than the rate comprising of 17 to 21 percent for other buyers of the iPhone.
That gap was not explained by the entity that provides this information (Consumer Intelligence Research Partners), but as the iPhone 6s, the iPhone 7 is mostly an incremental update, with features such as faster processors and better cameras. There may be little reason for owners to switch to Android iOS, if they have not already done so, particularly since the iPhone 7 also omits a headphone jack.
Still, despite the inconvenience that had the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Apple could not make the most of this situation.
