A Google seem to delight many of the new products, features and performance that incorporates Apple iOS. So much so, that the latest version of Android Nougat, 7.1, has implemented a function eerily similar to 3D Touch iPhone 6s, 6s Plus iPhone, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
Nougat 7.1, the latest beta preview Android, has introduced a 'new' functionality whereby users can use shortcuts from the application icons on the home screen.
How the 'new' feature on Android
By holding down your finger on the icon of an application (see video) a drop down menu appears with options such as sending messages or capturing images, among others.
Unlike iOS 10 Android Nougat 7.1 users will have to lift your finger from the screen to access one of the options shortcuts. In iOS, just use the Peek and Pop functions by pressing more firmly and sliding your finger to select a menu option Touch 3D.
However, Android 7.1 Nougat has a very interesting regarding iOS advantage, and it has to do with what ever we blame Apple: the lack of customization. And it is that Android users can add shortcuts to your application icons to your liking access.
As you have seen in the video that have attached, other new features include Android 7.1 Intelligent Storage Nougat, rounded icons and a new notification panel.
On the other hand, it is remarkable to note that both operating systems try to offer the best experience and usability to consumers, so it is logical that companies end up implementing the same technology but with slight variations. And the beneficiaries will always be us users !
The final version of the new Android 7.1 software Nougat be launched in December. This preview has been created so that the company can implement changes, stability improvements and bug fixes thanks to the testers.
