Apple could lower prices for iPhones 2017 considerably

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is quite busy with the reports he gave this morning, related to the update of the next iPhone. This time, the analyst provided a report that refers to Apple significantly lower prices iPhone models 4.7 and 5.5 inches next year.

This measure would be focused to grab more market and compete with Android phones with similar prices and features.

The analyst believes that the model 4.7 - inch iPhone Apple could become a new medium or even low range for next year, which would come to rival other brands such as Xiaomi.

In case Apple reduces the price of iPhones with LCD in 2017, Kuo predicts that the 4.7-inch model will represent between 30 and 35% sales for next year.

Apple could also bring prices down 5.5 - inch iPhone next year, however, this model could be in an "awkward position" as it comes into direct competition with the iPhone OLED, which obviously would have a higher price.

The analyst believes that the LCD iPhones 4.7 and 5.5 inches of 2017 will be sold as 'iPhone 7s' and 'iPhone 7s Plus', while the iPhone OLED could earn the nickname 'iPhone 8'.

On the other hand, in another report provided by Kuo, it is implied that the Cupertino company plans to integrate the wireless charging technology to the "iPhone 8" through the supplier company Pegatron.

In case this is true, Apple would be betting strongly on the next generation of smartphones, where if everything goes as it is believed; The company would have a very good sales period, far surpassing that of this year.
