IPhone 8: Only One Model Will Have OLED Display and Dual Camera

It is quite possible that the iPhone 8 comes in three different models , so in this article we can not specify with confidence if the iPhone 8 will finally OLED screen.

What is certain is that one of these three models will have OLED screen, and another model will have dual camera. At least that's what they say straight from KGI Securities.

Keep in mind that in 2017, when the iPhone 8 will be introduced, Apple's smartphone will be celebrating its 10th anniversary. So the company could be preparing the launch of a new Special Edition model like the iPhone SE, but much more powerful (and expensive).

According to the report, Apple will present three models. One model with OLED display, and two models with TFT-LCD screen. The dual camera of the iPhone 7 Plus will still be available in a single model.

So as not to make a mess, things would look like this:

  • 4.7-inch iPhone with LCD screen and iSight camera
  • 5.5 inch iPhone with LCD screen and dual camera
  • 5.8-inch iPhone with OLED Display and Dual Camera

It is difficult to know whether the dual camera will be available in the largest model of iPhone 8. What would be more logical to think so. But we'll see. What is certain is that the OLED display is unique to one model.

KGI Securities since have advanced on many occasions that the iPhone 8 would be made of glass at the back as was the case with the iconic iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s. This would end with doubts about the glossy finish of the iPhone 7 Jet Black.

As for the OLED screen, Apple uses this technology in the Apple Watch and the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. No iPhone has, to date, OLED screen although its screens are some of the best on the market thanks to its brightness, anti-reflective coating and color accuracy.

Finally, one wonders whether Apple finally implement design changes iPhone 8 including a curved screen as already happens in the great smartphones from Samsung.
