The adoption of iOS has grown by 5.2% in the US market during the third quarter of 2016. This has happened thanks in part to strong demand for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus .
Lauren Guenveur, director of Kantar Worldpanel ComTech consumers recently mentioned that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models are having an immediate impact by becoming the best - selling smartphones in September with nothing more and nothing less than a 17.1% sales.
"THE HIGH SALES OF THE IPHONE 7 AND IPHONE 6S PRICE CUT, THE SECOND BEST SELLING DEVICE OF SEPTEMBER, HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO A TOTAL GROWTH OF 34.2% OF IOS."
Some go up, others go down ...
Meanwhile, Android has fallen by 3.3% over the same period (in the US) with a decline of 66.7% to 63.4%. Are Android users switching to iOS?
But everything that glitters is not gold. In fact, in Germany the adoption of iOS has dropped from 17.5% to 15%. In China it has also declined, from 18.7% to 14.2%.
Be that as it may, there are very interesting data on the report provided by the analysts of Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. For example the fact that the iPhone continues triumphing in style in the UK, with 8.5% of sales of smartphones in the market during this quarter.
With that said, we can say without fear of contradiction that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have exceeded all expectations and are far from the disappointment that anticipated many consumers, at least in commercial terms.
What do you think, guys? Do you think the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will sell so well in Spain? And in the rest of Spanish speaking countries?
