WhatsApp is updated iOS to send Live Photos as animated GIFs

WhatsApp is, in addition to instant messaging application most used in the world, one that releases more updates. Sure you have checked. A few weeks ago we told that the iOS version of this app changed the location of the photo thumbnail profile, which is now located on the left next to the counter of unread messages instead of being next to the icon of the call , an aspect that was somewhat uncomfortable experience.

They have also arrived functions for editing so we can send our personal touch. We can add emoji both as text or drawings, here we tell you how to draw and write on photos of WhatsApp . But the beta version already has one of the features that most users have been waiting for : the video calls from within the application. Now we find ourselves with a new update, and this time brings centric features GIFs, so it will appeal to many users of Apple phones.

WhatsApp is updated iOS to send Live Photos as if they were videos

As I mentioned, this update focuses primarily on the GIFs, animated images that are fashionable in the network of networks because they offer the possibility to express much more than an emoji or a static image. Personally, when I start using GIFs in a conversation, then I find it difficult not send them because there is always one that captures perfectly what I mean.

Applications like Telegram (I recommend) take time offering a good repertoire of these images. WhatsApp is taking longer to implement, it is necessary to use our reel because it still is being activated synchronization services like Giphy or Tenor. This currently only works in countries like Germany and is being activated progressively, so have some patience touches.

With this new update of WhatsApp are interesting options to send as GIF videos that last 6 seconds or less. Simply choose "GIF" option and select the video in question. But most striking is the ability to send the iOS Photos Live as if they were animated GIFs. Simply select one of these images and click on "Select as GIF".

The update also slightly changes the share menu that appears if we touch the "+" symbol, but until there come the news. As I mentioned, WhatsApp already has support for GIFs, but services are being activated in stages. What do you think this new possibility for Live Photos?
