The undoubted success of Snapchat has made other applications have decided to offer very similar services, such as Instagram with Stories.
Well, Facebook seems to want to stay back and confirmed that WhatsApp, the application most used instant messaging planet, is about to include Status, a new feature that will allow users to share images in true Snapchat style.
What's more, some users have even been able to see this feature in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android, so it should not take long to be officially released
As you can see in the images, Status will have a similar or Instagram Snapchat Stories, where each user can share images or text that is automatically deleted after a while operation.
In addition, everyone who chooses to share content will have the option of viewing the number of users who have viewed it, just as it does with Instagram Stories.
Similarly, it seems that users can choose who can see the content and who is not, so that our privacy will be intact.
In short, this is a risky bet by Facebook, as I greatly doubt that WhatsApp Status can compete with applications especially focused for it as Snapchat or Instagram.
