Apple extends the discount period for peripherals

Without us knowing, Apple has updated its sales page USB-C and extended the duration of the sale of peripherals and cable sales for three months, with the sale ending March 31.

The range of discounts between 20 and 40% cover a range of products of the same company and third parties that are sold in the Apple online store and physical stores. While these discounts were scheduled to end in January, normal prices will resume on 1 April.

"We recognize that many users, especially professionals, rely on original connectors to work and face a transition , " it reported from the premises of the company in a statement on cutting the initial price. "We want to help them move to the latest technology and peripherals as well as accelerate the growth of this new ecosystem."

Today, Apple began accepting orders for the ultra-thin 27-inch LG 5K screen that is included in the sale for $ 974. The first orders of the ultra-thin 5K LG screen are scheduled to be delivered on December 27 or 28, with availability at the store on December 29.

All new MacBook Pro models use two or four combo ports with USB-C / Thunderbolt 3. It is said that a future iMac include new types of ports, although it is not clear if it will be only USB-C / Thunderbolt 3.

Computers continue to have the classic pin 3.5 mm headphone jack, so it is not excluded in the near future that the Cupertino company remove them , as it did with the iPhone in July.

If the latter is achieved, more than one user will feel disgusted by such a decision, since this means a forced change to new technologies and therefore, more money spending.
