Apple plans to establish a single distribution center in India

It seems that Apple has partnered with Global European and DB Schenker to build and manage a distribution center in Bhiwandi (India). This measure would make the Cupertino company have no shortage in its product line.

With this in mind, Apple intends to optimize the distribution of products through its various channels of online sales and physical stores. The measure should ensure the availability of stable sales and reduce shortages.

In addition, a single point of entry should help to stabilize product prices throughout the country. Currently, Apple products are subject to different types of VAT because they are imported through airports in Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chandigarh, New Delhi and Hyderabad, so the final prices vary significantly.

The distribution center will allow Apple to properly store their products, facilitate and optimize their logistics operations and supply chains. It will also help maintain the uniform price for your products, which will be much easier under the tax regime of goods and services.

In addition, the distribution center will allow Apple the flexibility to market custom-configured hardware to enterprise customers. Due to foreign investment regulations imposed by India, with which the Cupertino company is in a continuous struggle, the only way to buy a custom Mac is through Apple's official online store.

Apple is looking to expand to India as it has high growth prospects in terms of sales. The strategy seems to be paying off, as Apple's iPhone accounted for 66 percent of smartphone sales in India for the month of October.
