According to the rumors, Samsung is preparing to launch a new mobile payment application in January. The app will be called Samsung Pay Mini, and should make its debut in both iOS and Andorid.
However ... the application will not be available on iOS in the near future. According ETNews, Apple has refused to register the Samsung Pay Mini application on your App Store. The reasons have not been made public, but we can assure that Apple wants to keep Samsung Pay Mini away from its ecosystem in benefit of Apple Pay.
As point from Phone Arena Samsung will not retry register your application for iPhone on the App Store iOS again. The company will focus on Android devices. This was what a representative of the company wanted to know:
"AFTER APPLE HAS REJECTED THE REGISTRATION OF SAMSUNG PAY MINI IN ITS APP STORE, WE HAVE DECIDED TO FOCUS SOLELY AND EXCLUSIVELY ON SMARTPHONES WITH ANDROID OPERATING SYSTEM."
We will have Apple vs. Samsung soap operas for a while
So the plans the launch of Samsung Pay Mini on Android are ongoing, and probably next month mobile payment system via smartphone from Samsung will be presented on the Android platform.
It will be the first step of the South Korean company to extend its mobile payments in other brands of smartphones and tablets, not only in its popular Galaxy terminals.
They have already conducted the first tests of Samsung Pay Mini with local suppliers and operators, so it makes sense to think that the mobile payment system will land first in South Korea. But the company has not yet unveiled in which other countries will launch first.
What do you think of Samsung Pay Mini? Do you think Apple should have accepted your iOS app? Are you afraid Apple, or just want to boost Apple Pay revenues?
