Google updates your search application for iOS

Google has updated its application for IOS independent search and changed the approach to the way information is presented to the user. With this in mind, the personal event feed is shifted and an updated news and event feed is presented in an effort to boost user interaction with the app.

The new feed integrates calendar data, travel time, and other user - specific information is still selectable by clicking the icon located in the bottom right to toggle the screen.

As with the previous version of the application, specific data points to track, such as tracking topics of interest, people, etc., are still customizable. Google claims that this list will be increasingly adapted to the wishes of the user, the more you use the application.

With this new approach, Google intends users to further utilize their services, emphasizing ease of use to foster a better user experience.

Through the presentation of customizable "cards", the app aims to show the most important information to the user, with options to modify the main feed.

It preserves the general design of the application of previous versions, with the same design that characterizes Google (simple, flat and minimalist).

On the downside, it seems that the app is a bit slower when displaying data from Google, but this may be the result of having a new user profile with the new version of the application.

21.0 version of the Google search application requires iOS 8.0 or later and 180 MB of storage space and can be downloaded for free from the App Store .
