How to close all Safari tabs on iOS

The latest versions of Safari for iOS allows users to easily close all browser tabs that are open at once. This great feature of Safari makes it easier to manage and close a large number of browser tabs on the iPhone and iPad, instead of closing the tabs individually in Safari for iOS.

Like many other features in iOS, feature close all tabs Safari browser is a bit hidden and less obvious, but once you learn how to access the feature in Safari, quickly can close all open tabs in the browser once.

Here's how to close all Safari browser tabs for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch in the latest iOS versions.

How to close all Safari tabs on iOS

  • Open Safari on iPad or iPhone
  • Touch and hold on the tab icon (looks like two overlapping squares)

Choose "Close Tabs" from the drop-down menu that appears, the item selection will also show how many tabs are open in Safari

The function exists in Safari for iPad and iPhone, although it may be slightly different depending on the screen in which it is displayed, however, the function is always accessible by touch and hold down the button on the browser tabs.

This literally closes each individual tab open in Safari, leaving the browser clean and ready to open new tabs as needed.

If all this sounds familiar, you're not experimenting with ja vu, because this is not really the first time there has been a "Close All" tab in iOS Safari. In fact, this same feature existed, but for unknown reasons was removed in previous versions of iOS.
