Read on to discover what Apple has added to CarPlay and how iOS 10.3 will improve the experience of many drivers in your car ...

What is CarPlay?

CarPlay is a system created by Apple for certain selected cars. It is a much safer and more practical way to use the iPhone in the car .

With CarPlay you can get directions, make calls, listen to music, send and receive messages ... and everything from a touch screen embedded in the panel of your car.

You can control CarPlay tactilely through the screen, or simply through voice commands thanks to Siri compatibility.

IOS 10.3: What's new in CarPlay?

As well we are informed via iMore with iOS 10.3 Apple has moved the clock and the CarPlay status indicators from the center to the lower left corner. This gives you more space for the application icons that appear on the same side.

This new organization of the user interface is specially designed so that users of CarPlay can change from one application to another in a much simpler way and without endangering their safety at the wheel.

The new iOS 10.3 App Switcher for CarPlay will greatly enhance the drivers' experience taking into account that currently, to switch from one app to another you have to press the Home button and choose an application manually .

Without a doubt, this useful user interface enhancement will allow drivers (and co-drivers) to save time with CarPlay in their car. What do you think about iOS 10.3? Do you use CarPlay? What do you think about this novelty?
