The creator of the iOS 10.1 and iOS 10.1.1 Jailbreak , known as YaluX , has announced that it is updating the tool (in beta) to add iOS 10.2 compatibility.
Luca Todesco recently posted a tweet mentioning that his solution for iOS 10.1 Jailbreak issues will be the update itself for iOS 10.2.
Unfortunately, according to his words, the iOS 10.2 Jailbreak will not work on an iPhone 7 , only iOS 10 and iOS 10.1. So you know, if you have an iPhone 7 or an iPhone 7 Plus and are interested in the Jailbreak, you'd better stay on iOS 10.1.
Luca Todesco is already working on the iOS 10.2 Jailbreak
Despite the bad news about the incompatibility of the iOS 10.2 Jailbreak with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, there is a good reason for that. It seems that the vulnerability of iOS 10.1.x Jailbreak (a KPP bypass technique) does not work on iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus on iOS 10.2 . This is probably because newer models have superior security measures in their hardware.
The most important of this news is that Luca Todesco is adding stability improvements to the beta tool . Something that will be appreciated considerably in the behavior of the tweaks SpringBoard and Cydia Substrate.
Hopefully soon release a new version of the tool with the new features for the iOS 10.2 Jailbreak. Jay Freeman (Saurik) has commented that he believes Todesco is getting closer to achieving it .
Therefore, we recommend that users of iOS 10.1.x Jailbreak remain in the same version until more news about the iOS 10.2 Jailbreak.
On the other hand, if you have the Jailbreak on a device with iOS 9.3.3 installed, we recommend the same advice. Prepare your IPSW, and wait for Luca Todesco's tool to be available.
What do you think about the iOS 10 Jailbreak? Do you think the YaluX update for iOS 10.2 will be available soon?
