Running the future Facebook app for Apple TV
Thus, the mystery has finally been revealed. Facebook will not compete with Twitch with and its online streaming, nor will it compete with Periscope and its direct, nor will it with Netflix and its contents in video. Facebook will be Facebook once again, and this time on Apple TV.
"TODAY WE ARE ANNOUNCING A NEW VIDEO APPLICATION FOR TV, TO BE LAUNCHED SOON IN APPLE TV APP STORES, AMAZON FIRE TV AND SAMSUNG SMART TV, AND MORE PLATFORMS TO JOIN THE INITIATIVE."
The software will allow 4th generation Apple TV users to view Facebook videos shared by their friends or the pages that follow , including the most popular videos around the world and some recommendations from the social network based on their tastes and interests.
In addition, the Facebook app for tvOS will offer the ability to play videos you have saved to watch later on the TV and re-view all those you have shared or published.
In another order, the company has mentioned that users will still be able to watch videos while exploring other content in the mobile application feed. To use this function simply minimize the video in a Picture-in-Picture view that is still playing in one corner of the device screen. A very interesting update!
