A new theory points to an iPhone 8 cheaper than expected

So far, all rumors have suggested that the iPhone 8 would be the most expensive smartphone in Apple's history due to the cost of manufacturing certain components. But one theory points to it could be much cheaper than expected.

The media report that the iPhone 8 could cost $ 1,000, significantly more expensive than the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus that will also be presented this year. But from Business Insider claim that the iPhone 8 will have a base price of 870 $ , which is the same, 774 €. Although its price would be higher outside the United States, it will vary depending on the country.

Milunovich, an analyst at UBS, has mentioned that it will be the 128GB version of the iPhone 8 that costs $ 870, as leaks indicate there will be no 32GB version .

The iPhone 8 could cost € 774 in the United States

While the model of 128 GB of storage capacity would cost $ 870 (€ 774) Milunovich expects the iPhone 8 256 GB cost more than $ 1,000, specifically $ 1,070.

But for $ 870, an iPhone 8 of 128 GB would be an ideal price, and would be in line with the price predictions of the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus . Its predecessors, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus went on sale for $ 649 and $ 769 respectively in the United States.

"ASSUMING THAT THE MODEL WITH OLED SCREEN CONSTITUTES 45% OF SALES, WE ESTIMATE THAT THE AVERAGE PRICE OF THE IPHONE 2017 IS $ 730."

Apple will unveil its new devices for 2017 during a Keynote to be held in September, and its launch or marketing will take place a couple of weeks later . Although in the case of the iPhone 8 has been mentioned several times that its launch could be delayed due to difficulties in the manufacture of some of its components such as the implementation of Touch ID or the shortage of OLED panels for its screen.
