Soon you could write messages to Siri in iMessage

IOS users always use the Apple virtual assistant through voice commands, but this could change very soon, as Apple is working on developing a system that will allow writing messages to Siri via iMessage .

At least so indicates a new patent from Apple collected by Patently Apple . In principle it would be a meaningless function, why use text when you can use your voice more quickly? Well, it would be very useful on many occasions: people with speech difficulties, environments with excessive noise, places where it is forbidden to speak, meetings of work and a long etcetera.

As usual, the new Apple patent describes the information in a very complex language, but then we try to adjust it for a more enjoyable reading.

Patent for the use of Siri through messages in iMessage

The main illustration of the patent clarifies how this functionality in iOS would work showing Siri's typical interactions with messages and written responses.

The patent details the system as follows:

"In a process example, a graphical user interface (GUI) with a plurality of prior messages between a user of the electronic device and the digital assistant may be displayed on a screen. This plurality may be presented in a conversational view. The process may cause an action to be performed according to the user's intent. An action-based response can be shown as a second graphical user interface message. "

This is not the first time we've come across the idea of using Siri on Apple's iMessage messaging platform . A previous patent described how Siri used its proactivity in iMessage chats and it has been rumored that the feature could come in iOS 11 .
