5 things that will disappear from your iPhone and iPad because of iOS 11

The new version of Apple's mobile operating system, iOS 11, came out a few days ago as a beta for all compatible devices. However, users have already noticed the absence of many features that we had seen from previous versions .

For some reason, Apple has managed to worsen or, directly, make some of these functions we use daily disappear. Here is a summary of what we consider to be the most important.

Switch between apps with 3D Touch.

On the iPhone 6s or iPhone 7 we can make use of the 3D Touch features to switch between the apps we are using in a very simple way . Many do not use this feature because they do not know it directly, but those that we know are there, we can not stop using it.

If you are one of those that takes a lot of juice to this function, you will have to say goodbye when you upgrade to iOS 11 . However, some users believe it is only a bug in the first beta of iOS 11.

The iCloud Drive app says goodbye

You are right. This useful application will leave us in the next version of iOS, but do not fear, it will come back completely improved and redesigned under the name of Files. Yes, iCloud Drive will be integrated into Apple's new file manager .

No doubt it has been a smart move by Apple to include it in the system apps.

No more closing apps with a gesture on the iPad

From now on, if you want to close the applications on the iPad you will have to leave the app window pressed for a few seconds and drag it to the button that has an X. We do not know why Cupertino wanted to change this, since the previous gesture was very simple to do and we had been accustomed to him for many years.

However, although the process is now more cumbersome, we are sure to get used to it quickly . That, or change it in some future version of iOS 11.

Apps 32-bit

As we have said many times, iOS 11 no longer supports 32-bit applications. So if any of your favorite apps still work under this architecture, you have to know that you will not be able to use it any more when you switch to the new version of iOS .

The best thing you can do is send emails to developers to make sure they are going to upgrade to a new version.

The two columns on the Today tab go from your iPad

In iOS 11 that is over. Now no matter what position you place your iPad, you will always see only the column of widgets elegantly centered and occupying the entire screen .

Do not rush. Some of these things can be changed in the final version of iOS 11 , but if you upgrade to beta, you know that you will miss some functions that we have been seeing in our device for some time.

Will you miss any of these features? Leave us your answer in the comments!
