Apple "solves" your problem with tips from Chinese apps

A few days ago we informed you about an incident that was happening in the Chinese application development community for iOS . We summarize it a bit, the issue is that many Asian artists donate to continue their work, so some of the main messaging apps have systems specially designed to tip these creators. Something that, of course, does not like Apple.

And is that these transactions are not carried out as purchases within the app, but are made through an independent payment system to the App Store . This means that Apple does not achieve its 30% profit from these transactions , something that, in a market like China, is something really interesting for the company by the numbers that can be managed in those operations.

This is not one of the best strategies of the Apple App Store

At first, it seemed that Apple was simply going to devote itself to drawing attention, but now it has changed strategy. The company has announced that developers will be able to integrate these tips as in-app purchases . The idea is that the process is so simple that Chinese developers do not mind that there is a 30% of profits left. But, of course, this is not going to happen.

Surely, the creators of these applications with systems of sending instant donations are already thinking of alternatives . Hopefully, they simply do not include the option of raising donations, as this would very likely suppose the drop in this type of income for some of these artists, which would be merely collateral damage to the greed of a company like Apple.

And you, what do you think of this strategy of Apple?
