Google Pixel XL 2: Filtered Hardware Features

Thanks to a web of benchmarks we know what the features and performance of the new Google Pixel XL 2 will be .

In the second half of last year Google hit the table when presenting the new Google Pixel, the phones that would happen to the Nexus in what makes the purest Android experience was concerned. While sales have not been spectacular Google wants to launch this year a successor to continue showing the market what should be a terminal with its operating system.

Some of the engineers who are testing the terminal decided at a given time to go through a web of benchmarks and test the device. The fact is that the characteristics of the mobile have been stored in the database of the service and are now public.

Screen elongated but different from the S8 or G6

The first thing that strikes you is to see that the screen, with a diagonal of 5.6 inches although this figure may eventually end up being 5.7 inches commercially, has a strange resolution.

It would be 2,560 × 1,312 pixels , almost QHD but trimming in the smaller so that the ratio will be longer than rectangular, a trend that we have already seen in the LG G6 or Samsung Galaxy S8 although on those occasions it was chosen to increase the major side , Do not diminish the lesser.

Snapdragon 835, 128 GB of memory and 4 GB of RAM

It is indicated that the processor will be an eight-core chip at 2.4 GHz, which could mean in practice 2.35 GHz, the clock frequency that has the Snapdragon 835 . On the other hand the GPU, an Adreno 540, would fit with this chip.

The RAM would be 4 GB although the internal memory, at least of the model that has passed through the web page, would be 128 GB .

The tests are being done under Android 7.1.1 although of course we all expect it to be Android 8.0 the version officially released the new Google Pixel when they appear.

Single rear camera ... or not

In the photographic section we can highlight the front camera of 7 Mpx, or the rear camera of 12 Mpx. We could deduce that as there is no double sensor indicated in the performance of this web benchmaks the Google Pixel 2 would not have double camera, but it is not.

In these cases the test takes the resolution of the main so we could be before a mobile with double sensor back.
