IOS 11 allows you to scan QR codes natively

In the last WWDC we finally got to know the look and functions of the latest update of the best mobile operating system in the world, iOS 11. This new version is full of new functions that fill some of the most important shortcomings of the system, The specific functions of iPad, or customization in sections such as the Control Center.

But aside from these big news, from Apple also have dedicated some time to improve some details of their own applications that from now on will greatly simplify the use of the system in general. Today, we show you the QR code reading function, which has now been integrated into the Camera app we have by default on iOS.

How does this new feature work?

From iOS 11, the installation of QR readers will no longer be necessary to use these codes, since the Camera app will have the serial function in both iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. We will simply have to focus the code with the camera , and will automatically display a notification that summarizes the action that will start the code if it is triggered. If desired, you can disable the scanner from the Settings app in the Camera section.

This new feature is more thought out for Asian markets where more these codes proliferate today, in fact, at the conference was announced as a feature specially designed for China. However, we can all enjoy it with the next update. The iOS 11 update is now available to developers as a beta release , and will be released to the public this fall as a free upgrade to the following devices .

And you, do you make regular use of QR codes?
