IOS 11 Podcasts offer a much more complete experience

Apple's WWDC is not limited to the software presentation event (and hardware, in this case) of the Cupertino company. The WWDC was held between June 5 and June 9, five days full of surprises and news.

That said, during a WWDC session last Friday Apple unveiled new updates planned for its native Podcasts application on iOS 11 .

Recall that the Cupertino firm has already redesigned its Control Center , the App Store , the Dock and many other elements of the iOS 11 user interface.

These are the changes that will come to Podcasts in iOS 11

The Podcasts application will have a radical change in its design. This renewal will include a completely new user interface , better management of titles (and other elements), and other changes in how the podcast feed works.

All these new features will make the Podcasts app (finally) offer a much more complete and richer experience for users of iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and who knows, even fourth-generation Apple TV users with the arrival of 11.

"New app extensions will allow podcasts to define individual seasons and explain whether an episode is a teaser, a full episode or additional content."

It seems that iOS 11 users will also be able to download full seasons , and the application will automatically recognize if podcast episodes should be heard in chronological order.

The other changes introduced in the Podcasts for iOS 11 application are focused on content creators, podcasters. There will be analytics for podcasts that will allow you to discover how many people listen to the content and when certain parts of each episode skip.

The truth is that it was time for Apple to spend some time improving this application, it needed a better organization since for some users it was somewhat confusing and unintuitive.
