Never throw the towel: this is the app developed by an old woman of 82 years

In her last keynote a couple of days ago, Apple left us a clear lesson: it's never too late to do the things you like, and the living example of this is Masako Wakamiya, a Japanese woman who created her own app at 81 Years .

In this article we are going to talk about this woman, as well as her application , which has been very interesting.

How did this idea come about and why?

This interesting idea came about when Wakamiya realized the few applications dedicated to the elderly had in the App Store. From that moment, the woman went to work to make her project a reality .

As reported, he talked to countless people to begin the process of creating this app, but none wanted to risk. Then, Wakamiya decided to start doing it all by herself with the programming skills she had .

Masako says he started using the computer when he was 60, while nursing his elderly mother who was sick at the time. Due to this responsibility, it was very difficult to leave the house, so the computer was his only entertainment.

What is this game about?

The Wakamiya app takes place during the Doll Festival celebrations - or Hinamatsuri in Japanese - in which each participant has an assigned site. On this festivity we can see an emperor's doll accompanied by his court, all decked out in traditional costumes .

In this app, players will have to organize the participants in the correct way and decorate them in the appropriate way . This game, besides being good for memory, shows us the respect that the Japanese feel for their celebrations.

There is no doubt that whoever wants to, can. Thanks to technology we have realized that age is not a limit , and this is demonstrated by Masako Wakamiya. The woman has said that although she would like to continue creating applications, her programming skills need to be sharpened a bit.

If you have any knowledge of the Japanese language or its culture, here we leave the link to download the application .
