Pokémon GO renews gyms, cooperative mode and more

Taking advantage of the celebration of its first anniversary, Pokémon GO will receive a great update. The augmented reality game from the iOS App Store will revamp its gyms, introduce cooperative inroads and more.

In order to improve the balance of gyms, Niantic will include some changes. As a player, you will have the possibility to see six Pokémon defenders at the same time , as opposed to how it happens in the gyms system today, where you have to see them one by one.

Niantic replaces the prestige system

From each of the six Pokémon, there must be a different species to ensure variety in the gym. Niantic will also change the prestige system, as it was apparently very complicated.

Replacing the prestige system, now the Pokémon will have a new "motivation" . Offering berries to the Pokémon will increase your level of motivation, this level will determine how much time you leave in a gym. The stronger the Pokémon, the faster your motivation will rise.

New cooperative mode

Niantic has introduced a new game mechanic that will allow players to face other Pokémon in cooperative mode , that is, with the online help of other friends.

In fact, this system offers the possibility of forming groups of up to 20 trainers to achieve the leadership of a gym. But you do not have to own a gym to compete, but if you are, you'll have a chance to catch the "boss" Pokémon at the end of the battle.
