The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will also have no fingerprint sensor under the screen

The latest statements from Samsung executives indicate that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will not have fingerprints under the screen .

When the first rumors of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus began to be published there was one that drew special attention. We refer to the one that indicated that Samsung worked in a technology that would allow to implement the sensor of footprints under the screen, dispensing of the element at least of visual form. That was not possible in these models but we expected that the technology did allow it in the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Reliability and safety ahead of novelty

The technology in which both Samsung and other manufacturers work would allow to place the optical fingerprint sensor under the screen, taking up no space on the surface.

Unfortunately the current state of these sensors can not guarantee the security and reliability that have the most conventional that we see on many phones so Samsung has decided not to implement it. In the words of a company manager:

We have made great efforts to implement a fingerprint sensor on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 screen, but we have decided not to do so in this important terminal due to technical and security limitations.

Apparently Apple would be in the same situation and the renders and concepts of the iPhone 8 are fingerprint sensor in the back area would be options that would shuffle of not being able to solve the problems.

Release date of Note 8

Another fact that has been talking about in recent weeks is the date on which this model will be announced. On the one hand is mentioned on September 8 as the day on which Samsung will give us all the details of this model.

However other sources say that the Korean company wants to advance the presentation at the end of August to remove as much as possible from the new iPhone that, in theory, would arrive in the ninth month of the year.
