Ultra resistant cell phones that do not look like: HTC, Xiaomi, Motorola ...

Sometimes our awkwardness makes us need motives somewhat more resilient than our equilibrium. Are you a manazas and are you looking for one of those tank-like mobiles? Calm down, the ones here are not rugged. But go canvas ...

Not long ago a curious thing happened to my best friend. It bought the OnePlus 3T , one of the devices in my opinion the best in the market. Shortly after having it, I do not remember if they were days, it fell to him and it was annoying to him the whole screen and had to send it to the technical service. The funny thing is that he had before that one Xiaomi Redmi , the same phone as another friend of mine. My other colleague is much more clumsy and the poor have fallen as if it were hail. He does not even have a marquita.

Tough mobile phones, of course there. But we do not have to go to rugged models to get a good phone that can withstand our oversights. For construction or for other reasons there are Androids that are ready for loading at all times, and can be easily purchased. Today, we give a review of the most interesting for you to have a look. Especially if you are of those who have butter hands and look for one that will hold. Like me…

HTC 10: a cheap mastodon with a spectacular sound

We started this peculiar list with a phone that has always caught my attention: the HTC 10. In the great review of this device we realized one thing: it is a mobile not suitable for all budgets. Its metal construction and prominent size make this Android a perfect phone for those looking for resistance. Not to say it is a high end in every respect. And you know the best? That because of its "antiquity", you can acquire it very, but that very cheap.

As usual, let's take a look at its features:

  • 5.2 "Super LCD screen with Quad HD resolution (2,560 x 1,440)
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, quad-core 2.2 GHz, Adreno 530
  • 4 GB of RAM LPDDR4
  • 32/64 GB + microSD up to 2TB
  • 12MP camera, with technology HTC Ultrapixel 2, Sony IMX377, autofocus laser, OIS, f / 1.8 and 4K video
  • Front camera 5MP autofocus, OIS and f / 1.8
  • USB Type-C USB 3.1, Splash Resistance IP53, Fingerprint Reader
  • 3.000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0
  • 145.9 x 71 x 9 mm, 161 grams of weight
  • Speaker HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition Dolby Audio, triple-noise-canceling microphone
  • NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), Miracast, LTE Cat 9 nanoSIM, GPS + GLONASS, AirPlay
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense 8.0

With high level specifications, I can tell you with total confidence that this mobile, more than an Android is a brown beast. An old friend bought it to him at the moment, since always it followed the mark and today it owns it. We are talking about a person who even drops pens writing. I have seen suffering this "little" a lot and from many places, and it is still totally flawless. I can give personal and personal faith that this phone will hold what you throw, and more.

In addition, it is one of the phones that have aged better over time and for a price much lower than it had output, you can buy your HTC 10 at a good price. And also, you have a spectacular sound, a great performance and above all: a strong body to withstand everything that happens in your life. And for your pocket, of course.

Motorola Moto G (all generations, especially the 5th)

Motorola (or Lenorola) and I have a lot of history together. Both Motos G and E Motorcycles went through my hands and supplied my thirst for Android when I needed more. I have always argued that, at least in past generations, the Moto G were the kings of the mid-range. Good specifications, good construction and above all a good price. And of course, resistant. Although I tend to pamper and pamper my smartphones, accidents have either. And I can assure you they were off-road. And yes, you are thinking. I mean all the generations.

For the sake of life, I have had the opportunity to test all the generations of the MotoG , from the first to the G5. I myself was the owner of both the second generation and the third, and were devices that I remember with much affection. I can say that each and every one of these generations were very resistant , and endured a very strong rhythm of use for a very long time. Recently we were able to analyze the fifth generation and we could emphasize its resistance despite being a mid-range in every norm.

Here are its specifications:

  • Display : 5.0 inches, FHD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels)
  • Snapdragon 430 processor with eight cores running at 1.4 GHz
  • RAM : 2GB / 3GB
  • Internal Memory : 16 GB
  • MicroSD : up to 128 GB
  • System version : Android 7.0. Nougat
  • Cameras : 13 megapixel rear, 5 megapixel front
  • 2800 mAh battery
  • Dimensions : 144.3 x 73 x 9.5 mm
  • Weight : 145 gr
  • Other : Dual SIM, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, 4G LTE, fingerprint sensor ...

I would certainly recommend this device if you want something sturdy and durable. You have, for a very moderate price, a particularly nice device, with good specifications and with durability and reliability behind. And if you like Android stock, you get your phone to an Amazon hit. Because you do not have to pay a lot if you want something that does not suffer too much when you stick a good chestnut on the floor of your kitchen. Although, well, you will suffer ...

Xiaomi to power: your Redmi 4 will surprise you

Xiaomi could be considered as the only brand that has managed to have its catalog of phones reproduced by mitosis. Look for Xiaomi and you will see so many models available that you will overwhelm instantly. One thing we can not deny, is that their prices are well worth the effort of buying them off. As I said, I have seen in two friends the resistance (and really) of both the Xiaomi Redmi 3 and the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro. And of the latter we are going to talk.

If I could relate in this post all the times I saw a Redmi 4 Pro fall to the ground, against a wall (yes), against the real estate in general ... I'll just say that for fun I saw a stuck up the stairs of the house Of my colleague. It hurt my soul to see how he maltreated the device, but I must also say that I was surprised to see how he did not even have a bun in the chassis. Hallucinatory.

These are its characteristics:

  • 5-inch IPS screen with a resolution 1080 x 1980 with a density of pixels per inch of 441.
  • Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 Octa-Core at 2 GHz clock frequency.
  • GPU: Adreno 506.
  • RAM: 3GB
  • Storage: 32 GB with expansion for micro-SD, or dual SIM cards.
  • Battery: 4100 mAh.
  • Fingerprint reader, GPS, Gyroscope, Bluetooth 4.2, LTE, FM Radio ...
  • Weight: 156 grams.

For less than 150 euros you have a mid-range device that, due to its battery, has a somewhat more noticeable thickness than normal. This, coupled with being a metalized device gives it extra resistance. I'm not exactly fan of either Xiaomi or the brand, but it does have good things that confer powers of "tank" to this curious device. Like building smart phones for an almost stupid price.
