Prepare your monocle, come the Steve Jobs opera

Steve Jobs was one of the most brilliant tech geeks in history. His ideas and his incredible marketing strategies took his company to the top of the computer. Unfortunately, Steve left us some years ago because of a cancer that he could not overcome . The legacy of Jobs has not disappeared, his company continues to boom and that's why I'm here writing here instead of doing anything else.

In many occasions there are people who decide to pay homage to this man. Of course there is nothing wrong with it, his life was an example for many entrepreneurs today . However, the homage that I bring you today is a little more peculiar than we are accustomed.

The Steve Jobs Opera

Sounds amazing, but it's totally true. It is an opera based on the life of the former CEO of the Cupertino company . This opera is called "The (R) Evolution of Steve Jobs" and will be shown for the first time to the public on July 22 at 8:30 pm at the Santa Fe Opera's open-air Summer stage New Mexico.

This peculiar opera, has been in development since 2015 by DJ Mason Bates and libretist Mark Campbell . This work tells the story of Steve Jobs, including his ups and downs, his work and his family. All this accompanied by an orchestra, a guitar, natural sounds and electronic sounds, adding some of the mythical sounds of Apple.

The opera takes about 90 minutes, starting with a prologue in the Jobs family garage in Los Altos, California , with Steve's father giving his son a workbench. The story follows a few years after the prologue, teaching the beginnings of Apple and the beginning of Steve's relationship with computing.

Undoubtedly, it is surprising how Steve Jobs is still commemorated after his death. It is not for less knowing that it transformed the computer science in what we know now. His dream as a young man was to get a computer in each house , so that computer science was not just industrial or professional. You can say that you got it, because if you had not fulfilled your dream, you would not be reading this right now .
