This is why the iPad Pro does not have 3D Touch

Apple's new iPad Pro models are very powerful , its A10X Fusion processor complemented with updated camera sensors, ProMotion screen technology and a smoother user experience make this tablet one of the best on the market.

But, despite all its wonderful technical specifications, Apple's iPad Pro still do not have the 3D Touch functionality.

The 3D Touch function came as an exclusive feature of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus . Since then, it has been present in all new iPhone models, except the iPhone SE. But why has not Apple introduced the 3D Touch in their iPad Pro?

What is 3D Touch?

The 3D Touch functionality is based on a technology that allows the device to recognize different pressure points on the screen . In this way, iOS users have the ability to press normally, press gently and press more firmly on the screen to use the "Touch" and "Pop" features of the 3D Touch and access application shortcuts and the Control.

Why does not the iPad Pro have 3D Touch?

While it would be great to have 3D Touch on the big screens of the iPad Pro, it would be physically impossible . The 3D Touch works differently on an iPhone as it does on an Apple Watch or a Magic Trackpad (Force Touch).

Each of the devices has its own 3D Touch system to adapt to its operation and its size . If Apple wanted to bring the 3D Touch to the iPad Pro, they would need to develop a completely new technology for the large screen of the device.

And the same goes for the iPhone 8, Apple will have to find a solution to adapt 3D Touch technology to the OLED screen of the 10th anniversary smartphone.
