You can now watch YouTube videos without leaving WhatsApp chats

As always, WhatsApp is still trying to renew itself by adding new features (not too new for applications like Telegram). This time, they are about to implement a new feature that will bring YouTube videos directly to the same application .

When you link a YouTube video, the application currently shows you a thumbnail of it with the title and a snippet of the description, however when you open it it plays in full screen or opens a new window of your default browser , somewhat annoying If we want to continue reading the chat with the video playing in the background.

How does it work?

This new function to play videos directly in the chat will work as follows: When you click on the video, it will play smaller on the screen , up or down. Depending on the size of your phone, you can activate the split screen and continue typing while the video is playing. Also, regardless of the size of your mobile, WhatsApp will allow you to drag the video around the screen .

The WABetaInfo page ensures that this new feature will only be available on iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus . So maybe if you have an iPhone 5s, there is no way to use this new feature of WhatsApp. This is obviously because the screen size of the older iPhone does not leave space for the keyboard, a video and chat at the same time .

Of course and luckily for those who have an iPhone 5s, this new update will not only bring this feature. It will also incorporate improvements in the user experience , making the application softer visually and more functional. They will also reduce bugs within this to make it more convenient to use.

As always, WhatsApp continues with its "renew or die" policy , although for that it must go to the queue of applications that really are innovating on their own. It is certainly good that WhatsApp progresses , but maybe it is time to go migrating to another application that brings us the latest developments as soon as possible.
