Apple could acquire Bollywood's largest producer

Apple could get a really lucrative business thanks to the acquisition of Eros Group, the largest producer of Bollywood, for $ 1 billion .

Rumors suggest that Apple is planning to acquire Eros Group to provide more audiovisual content to the fourth-generation Apple TV App Store . It would take a lot of monthly revenue, without the need to compete directly with other streaming services like Netflix or HBO.

Eros Group holds more than 3,000 Bollywood films and productions , and is a subsidiary company of an even more important company, Eros International.

Apple has a close relationship with India and Bollywood

According to the sources, Apple has already contacted the executives of Eros Group in order to start negotiations.

In addition, it is also rumored that Apple could gain access to more than 10,000 songs from Eros Music . It is possible that the bite apple company plans to include Bollywood films on Apple TV and music on Apple Music.

Moreover, the Cupertino company could appropriate Eros Now, a platform dedicated to the online streaming of audiovisual content. In other words, Eros Now is the "Netflix of Bollywood" .

Recently Apple began manufacturing the iPhone SE in India after a long period of negotiations. In addition, in the past the apple bite company already showed its interest in Bollywood in one of its commercial spots under the slogan "Your Verse."

Apple is still struggling to find new content for the Apple TV App Store . The company has already created its own original content intended for Apple Music with the collaboration of various artists and singers. But this deal with Eros would give Apple exclusive rights to a lot of content for Apple TV.

According to iDropNews , JM Financial is helping Apple and Eros reach an agreement. So far Apple has not wanted to comment on this news , but there could be news in the coming days. What do you think about this curious acquisition? Will the company fill the Apple TV with colorful Bollywood content? Is this movement only destined for India?
