Setting up the new HomePod from the iPhone will be sewing and singing

Yesterday an image of the Apple HomePod configuration process was discovered on the internal iOS 11 beta 7 system . The screenshot revealed how HomePod and iPhone synchronization was very similar to the process for setting up AirPods.

Today, Guilherme Rambo has gone into the subject to share the whole process of setting up the HomePod from the iPhone using an iOS simulator. So, in this article we will tell you everything you need to know to configure the HomePod from your iPhone . And it will be very easy!

As it is a prior information from the iOS 11 test phase, it is possible that some step of this tutorial may change slightly with respect to the final configuration process of the HomePod.
How to configure the HomePod from your iPhone

The new Apple HomePod will prompt users to select the language they want to use with Siri. In the video we share, we'll tell you when the Spanish language is available, but this is only because its initial launch will be in the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia .

1. Click on the "Configure" button.

2. Then select your language and press "Continue".

3. Enter the HomePod serial number.

4. Tap "Share settings" to synchronize your HomePod with your iPhone data.

5. Next the configuration process will ask you some data related to the platform HomeKit (house, rooms ...).

6. Wait for the synchronization process to finish.

7. A new screen will appear indicating that the process to configure the HomePod is finished and will show you some examples of what you can request from HomePod from the iPhone with Siri.

As you can see in the screenshot, users with a HomePod can ask Siri from the iPhone to play music, read the news highlights, turn on the lights of home or set a timer.
