8 reasons to buy the iPhone 8 and not the iPhone X

The iPhone X is the phone that everyone wants, but we find a catch. Yes, its high price, which for many is an insurmountable stumbling block. It is the most advanced iPhone that Apple has created, but not everyone can afford to employ their savings on it . So what can we do?

So let's keep our feet on the floor: the design of the iPhone 8 already looks old, is very similar to the iPhone 7, compared to the iPhone X, but it is only the external appearance .

Looks are not everything, and there are many things inside that make them valuable. It will also come with supply restrictions, there will be a lot of demand and the launch will not be until November 3 , not everyone will be able to get one. Why wait when there are lots of great reasons to buy the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus instead?

Do you like saving money

The most obvious reason to buy iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 is because you can not afford the iPhone X. Your wallet can not, or does not feel like it, to spend that figure of 1329 euros .

The iPhone 8 costs 809 euros the 64GB and 979 euros the 256GB, respectively. And the iPhone 8 Plus costs 919 euros the 64GB and 1089 euros the 256GB. In comparison, the iPhone X costs 1159 euros the 64GB and 1329 euros the 256GB.

You can use the money saved in buying the wireless charging kit , which is not included with the phones , and also hire an AppleCare and a good case.

If you still want the start button

The future of the iPhone is without buttons , and you can accept this reality now or feel a miserable later when Apple fails to make the iPhone with start button on them because, just like the headset jack, it will never return.

Keep in mind, though, that the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have a faux Taptic Engine engine that vibrates when pressed. It's not mechanical like the iPhone 6S, but it does a good job fooling you. At first it's weird, but you get used to it.

If you prefer the fingerprint sensor

Who am I to judge if you prefer to unlock your phone or authenticate Apple Pay with your fingerprint instead of your pretty face? Maybe you're worried about the accuracy of Face ID, although Apple says there's only one chance in a 1 million that someone can unlock your iPhone with a different face on the iPhone X compared to a 50,000 chance for Touch ID. Or maybe you think Animojis are stupid.

Whatever the reason, if you just want a fingerprint sensor, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have it and the iPhone X does not.

If you hate ears

Apple says the iPhone X is "all-screen." Technically that is not true. It's almost the whole screen, but not quite. The notch or ears at the top contains the TrueDepth camera system, which includes both the FaceTime camera and an IR sensor for facial recognition. It also disqualifies the phone as a true full-screen device.

Reactions have been mixed in the ears. Some people agree with them and others hate them. The Apple iOS guidelines ask developers to keep this in mind when optimizing their iPhone X applications.

If you just can not stand the view of the notch and you already see it a little strange, especially in landscape mode for some applications, you'll be happy to know that the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus do not have notch . They have thicker bevelles above and below the screen, but without trimming.

If you really care about accessibility

As for the body, the iPhone X is not much larger than the iPhone 8 , which in itself has the same size as the iPhone 7. The growth of smart phones has been largely driven by larger screens, but if you like small phones and small screens, the iPhone 8 is one of the last of a race in extinction of "small" telephones.

Achievability is certainly a concern with the iPhone X, it is impossible to reach the top corners with one hand unless you are Pau Gasol, but it is not a problem on the iPhone 8.

If you want wireless charging

The iPhone X has built-in wireless charging that supports a Qi-based charging pad. In fact, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus have the same wireless charge, and also the same fast wireless charge that allows you to move from 0 to 50 percent in 30 minutes . You'll have to buy your own wireless charging cushion, but hey, it's the same if you buy a Samsung phone.

If you want a better camera

Anyone who tells you that your camera good enough probably does not understand cameras and takes pictures of painful. A better camera is always a better camera and you will notice when you take photos that do not look bad . You will notice it when your pictures are done perfectly. You will notice when you are in a bar and your shot goes really well . And you will notice when your videos are not at all unstable.

Few people ( brother-in-law mode ) would say, "Hey, I'm fine with my old camera, it has fewer megapixels but I got some great pictures . "

Both the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus come with improved 12-megapixel cameras that capture better photos and videos . Better sensor and better HDR. And on the iPjone 8 Plus, you'll have the same iPhone X vertical illumination mode, which simulates different studio lighting conditions, and a better and more refined background blur in Portrait mode.

If you want the performance of the iPhone X

Perhaps the best of the 8 and 8 Plus is that they share the same powerful Bionic A11 chip as the iPhone X. Graphics-intensive 3D games and tasks like video editing will go just as fast in the 8 series , you will have to pay more just to have it.

If you have an iPhone 7, it is difficult to recommend the iPhone 8 . personally, and as we said yesterday , it is not necessary to change. But if you have an iPhone 6 or earlier, it may be a good time to make the change. You will find notable improvements, such as the battery that started its improvement in the 7 series and IP67 protection, among many other things.

Some people will say that the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus already look old and everyone will know. But if you can get over that, you'll find a phone that is just as fast as the iPhone X.
