AirPower: the charging dock for iPhone X, iPhone 8 and Apple Watch 3

Apple's new products have already been introduced and will soon hit the market. But it does not end with HomePod, Apple TV 4K , Apple Watch Series 3 , iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus . Not even with the iPhone X. Apple offers more, much more. Starting with an accessory specially designed for the wireless charging of your products: the AirPower dock.

Phill Schiller, vice president of marketing, has stepped onto the Steve Jobs Theater stage to present his new solution for a wireless future. AirPower will allow users to charge their smartphones and smartwatches without the need for cables .

"It's a little accessory in which you place the iPhone X or the iPhone 8 and simply start charging."

In fact, it seems that even AirPods can be loaded wirelessly.

This is the AirPower for iPhone 8, iPhone X and Apple Watch 3

The device, of course, will need to be connected to the power in order to receive and send power . But, luckily, its cable is much longer than the cable of the USB Lightning iPhone and / or iPad.

Its design, on the other hand, is simple. As is customary in all Apple products. It is a minimalist design, elegant and aesthetically very visual.

It is questionable and very debatable that the iPhone is "tied" to a cable when we are talking about wireless charging. In fact, it is currently possible to use the iPhone while charging with the USB Lightning cable with total freedom of movement . But this will not be possible with the AirPower.

Of course, it will be much easier to reuse the iPhone and leave it in place again, although this will constantly interrupt the charge of the battery .

But there is a small catch, bad news. The AirPower Wireless Dock will not be available until the beginning of 2018 . For his part; the iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X will be on sale from 22 September . But they can be booked from 15 September.
