Apple Music and Facebook have one thing in common that you will love

Facebook and Apple have teamed up to bring a new music and emoji recommendation feature to Facebook Messenger. The Facebook messaging application was updated this week with an Apple Music bot that can recommend songs and playlists based on emojis.

The new bot puts recommendations of music based on your preferences, or any emoji that you are feeling that day. Send the emoji bot and get a selection of matching albums or playlists. Sounds funny, to tell you the truth.

Some emojis tend to work better than others, it is true that emoji 🎉 goes much better than 💩, but it is a feature that seems very ingenious , given the thrust iOS 11 is giving to the subject of these emoticons .

You can also get music suggestions in the old fashioned way, by typing in genres or specific artists or albums . Or, you can choose to see broader categories like new versions or publisher selections.

For each recommendation, the bot generates an Apple Music link that lets you listen to songs within Messenger. In addition, Facebook Messenger has also been updated with a chat extension for Apple Music that lets you share song clips directly in your chats.

You can enable the extension from the (+) menu in Messenger. So, all you have to do is look for a song or an artist . Of course, for Apple the goal is to get more people to use their paid music streaming service, so with both new features you will not be able to listen to complete songs unless you're a subscriber who's paying to listen to the songs.

Even if you do not subscribe, you can continue to watch and share clips of 30 seconds of songs. Now is the time to tell us what you think this new functionality, if you see utility or something you will not give much use .
