Does Apple make a mistake with the capabilities of the new iPhone?

When we buy a new iPhone, it is usually the price of the label that worries us the most. While it may not seem like an important distinction, choosing the wrong storage level may lead to being suffering during the life of the iPhone. And because the iPhone does not have expandable storage, the issue becomes a problem .

The new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have two storage capacities. And it can be difficult to choose between 64 GB and 256 GB . This is an important decision that you should spend some time thinking about.

General Guide to Choosing Storage

If you're the type of person who likes to keep the entire music library on your iPhone or download a lot of movies or apps, it's best not to skimp on your storage. If you want to keep your entire photo library offline on your device, it's best to look for the largest storage capacity possible .

On the other hand, if you use streaming music services or movies and TV programs exclusively and copy all photos and videos to iCloud or a cloud service, you may be interested in the lowest storage level . But you must be careful. Each time the applications are heavier and we tend to accumulate more of the account.

Who should buy the 64 GB model?

For the first time in the history of the iPhone, the iPhone 8 starts with a storage level of 64GB. The side effect is that Apple has significantly increased the price of the device . Depending on its usage, 64GB can be a lot of space or enough. Unlike previous generations, there is going to be something small, like the 16GB or 32GB.

Even if you download 5 GB of music, save a couple of movies to see them offline, and your photo library, you should still have plenty of space . If you plan to make videos from 4K to 60 FPS, 64 GB will not be enough .

Plus, you can use the new iOS 11 features to make sure you're never running out of storage. iOS 11 will automatically download applications, help you remove iMessage attachments , automatically copy photos and delete them from your device when the storage space runs out.

Who should buy the 256 GB model?

If you're the kind of person who never wants to worry about storage space, and you're willing to pay more for that privilege, go for the 256GB version . You know, big horse, walk or do not walk.

Even if you download HD movies, various games, your entire music collection and your photo library, you may not fill up all the storage. I usually do not recommend the 256 GB level for everyone. 128 GB would have been the sweet spot for everyone . It all boils down to how you use your iPhone. Take a look at the amount of storage space you are using right now before making the decision.

What is your choice? Do you think 128GB was an ideal capacity? We are waiting for you in comments.
