iPhone 8: How to Enable DFU Mode, Restore Mode and Forced Reset

Following the launch of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, Apple has introduced some changes to the methods used to perform a forced reboot on devices.

These changes come just a year after Apple made similar changes to the iPhone 7 , the first smartphone that replaced the physical home button with a pressure sensitive alternative and tactical engine.

To perform a forced restart or reset of the iPhone 8 you will have to press and hold the volume up button, hold and release the volume down button and hold the side button until your iPhone 8 reboots, then release it . The pressure of all the buttons must be made in a relatively fast sequence. Pressing the side button will take about 10 seconds.
