The iPhone 8 Plus is no longer the mobile that best pictures does

The camera of the new iPhone 8 Plus is impressive. According to DxO Labs, the best camera in history built into a smartphone , which is the best score achieved in the DxOMark and only matched by the same Samsung Galaxy Note 8 . It is impressive, as long as we do not take into account that this is no longer true . As you read it, the iPhone 8 Plus has been dethroned by a phone that was already expected to do so even before it was released.

As I said, the phone that now occupies the top of the DxOMark had the position saved since before the launch of the same iPhone 8 . We are talking about of course the Google Pixel 2 XL , the phone that bears the title of best camera history photo (on a smartphone, of course).

The new Google Pixel 2 XL camera

This new Google device got a score of 98 points out of 100 while the iPhone 8 Plus "only" managed to get 94 points in this ranking. It should be noted that the predecessor of this terminal of Google managed to reach the magnificent score of 90 points, just below the normal iPhone 8 and above the HTC U11 and iPhone 7 Plus.

The Google device does not have a dual-lens camera like all its competitors, which makes it even more impressive . With a simple traditional camera has managed to displace all its rivals and proclaim itself as the best camera, being able to take pictures with an impressive quality.

The future rival of the Google terminal

Despite how impressive the new Google terminal is, there is yet another rival who can take away this impressive first place . After seeing how you have left behind the Galaxy Note 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus, who will be able to take better pictures? I am referring, of course, to the future iPhone X which will be available to buy on the 3rd of next month.

Why do I say this? Simple, the iPhone 8 Plus has an awesome camera, but it's not the best camera Apple has developed this year. The future iPhone X promises to have an improved camera compared to the one found in the iPhone 8 Plus , including lenses of a larger size and with a stabilizer each. Of course we can expect a score equivalent to or even higher than this new device Google with the future iPhone X.

Anyway, everything is still to be seen. To get a real answer to all this we will have to wait for the launch of the iPhone X, but until then, the Google Pixel 2 XL boasts the honorable title of owning the best camera ever installed on a smartphone .
