The 14 basic gestures of the iPhone X

IOS users, among which I obviously include myself, have been using Apple's mobile software for a decade with a certain type of methods. Now, with the iPhone X (and its successors), we must re-learn to use all its functions through new tactile gestures.

The new design of the iPhone X with an OLED screen that covers the entire front and a very small bevels has made Apple should dispense with the iconic start button. But the Home button was part of an extensive list of combinations of tactile gestures to turn on, off, restart, close apps and many other features.

So, with the arrival of the iPhone X, the company of the bitten apple has had to look for other methods for its features, functions and features. That is why today we will explain the 14 basic gestures of the new iPhone X.
Turn on the OLED screen of the iPhone X

There are different ways to turn on the iPhone X screen. You can simply click on the screen or you can press the side button. But the easiest way is using the Raise to Wake function.

Unlock the iPhone X

The iPhone X does not have a Touch ID, so you can choose to use Face ID or use a password to unlock your mobile device.

Go back to the start screen

One of the things that is most done on an iPhone is to press the Home button to return to the home screen. But now with the iPhone X you will have to slide from the bottom up to return.

The Reachability functionality is still available in the iPhone X of the company of the bitten apple provided you have it activated in the iOS iOS 11 native application. To use this feature you will have to scroll down at the bottom of the screen.

Instead of pressing twice on the start button, you will have to slide your finger up from the bottom, stopping at the center of the screen . All your open applications will appear.
Quick multitasking

If you keep your finger pressed in one of the corners of the bottom and move your finger in the form of an arc to another side, you will access to multitasking.

Change app

In the lower bar of the screen you can swipe left and right to switch between the current application and those recently opened.
Control center

Opening the Control Center is very easy, you will have to slide your finger down from the upper right corner.

Notifications Center

To open the Notification Center, you must slide your finger down from the upper left corner.
Activate Siri

If you want to activate the Siri virtual assistant from Apple, all you have to do is keep pressing the side button of the iPhone X or use the "Hey Siri" function.

Apple Pay

Double tap on the side button to use Apple Pay services. You can use Face ID to authenticate the payment.

If you want to take a screenshot of your iPhone X all you have to do is press simultaneously the side button and the button to increase the volume of the audio.
Turn off the iPhone X

Press and hold the button to increase the audio volume and the side button for a moment.
Forced restart

If you need to perform a forced reset, keep your finger pressed on the volume up button, release it, hold down the volume down button, release it, and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.
